    Gazelle is a college student who used to run on the university cross country team. She has since quit the team in order to prepare for the birth of her baby. Six months pregnant, Gazelle is stil unsure whether she will keep the baby or put it up for adoption. She is unsure of who the father is. Amazingly, her parents don't even know that she is pregnant. She has been away at school since the baby's conception, and has come up with all kinds of practical excuses as to why she hasn't been able to get home for vacations. She's not even sure if she will tell her parents about the baby once it is born. She never was very close with her parents afterall. She always felt that they had pushed her too hard and never gave her the credit that she deserved. It was her parents that she blamed for her long time bout with eating disorders. Since she had taken up running things had gotten better, but she still had the occassional lapse where all she would see in the mirror was fat fat fat. But since she had become pregnant, she saw her body in a whole new light. She had thought that carrying a child would just make her feel more insecure about herself. Instead, her excitement about the baby took away the usual guilt she would feel after eating. And now when she looked in the mirror, it didn't seem to matter if she felt fat. She was, afterall, carrying another person.
